| Michael Hsu, M.D., is the Medical Director for Obesity Surgery Specialists in Groves. He has been in practice for over 20 years and has been performing bariatric surgeries for over 13 years. Dr. Hsu is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Hsu received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin and received his medical degree from the University of Texas School of Medicine in Galveston. He completed his internship and residency at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has served as Chairman of Surgery and has been a member of Executive Committees for several Texas and Louisiana hospitals. Dr. Hsu is affiliated with the Texas Medical Association and Southern Medical Association. He is also a Fellow for the American College of Surgeons and International College of Surgeons. Dr. Hsu has been involved in over 1,000 bariatric procedures.
